“PLANNING is the key to SUCCESS”
Have you ever wondered about the vitality of proper planning in your life?
I am Chetan Patel, the Motivational Speaker in Gujarat. Let me depict you an example from my own life in two phases.
The Daily Rut- Phase 1
This was the phase of my life when I was living the life aimless sans any planning.
Back then, in my corporate days, I used to work for 15 hour days.
Commuting 2 hrs each way in jam-packed traffic from Hazira to Katargam in Surat took a heavy toll on my life.
It was crazy! But the game must go on. So did I.
This daily groove adversely affected my mental and physical health.
I knew this had to stop and I am glad that it did STOPPED!
Sagacity- Phase 2
This phase changed my life. And planning and perseverance kept me going.
I got this insight, that I have to stop and refrain from this chaotic life 🙂
It took me a good few years to perfect my business model by training the people. I also introspected my life and working methodologies to become a successful motivational speaker in Gujarat.
And today, my life is very different compared to the “grind” that I was living in.
I’m a father of a creative girl and a naughty boy… and now I live in Surat.
I start my day early.
I wake up at 5am and meditate for 2hrs.
Each morning, I practice 6 habits ( SAVERS-more on that in my next blog )
I reach the office early which saves me from the endless honks and traffic jams.
I start my work @ 9am
Before I start my day at work, I sit down at my desk for 15 mins to write down my goals.
Next, I do brain-storming sessions with other think-tanks, coaches and clients.
I do video and podcasts recording of my gained knowledge to share with the world.
Later, I have lunch at around 12:30pm
I have meetings with my teams from 1-2pm
I do calls or visits @ 3pm
3pm to 5pm – I write blogs, answer emails or tweak my ad campaigns
5pm to 7pm- I go for a walk in the park near my home
I ensure that I walk 5km every day.
While I do this, I listen to 2hrs of podcasts daily and imbibe a lot of new ideas.
I reach back home and freshen-up.
I have an early dinner at 7:30 pm.
On days where I have webinars/seminars I do them from 9pm to 10pm.
On days that I do not have webinars/seminars, I make sure to spend time with my family/ friends and sleep early.
I do not work on Thursday
On Thursdays, I usually drive out of town or visit relatives’ businesses.
My Sundays are dedicated to, my family.
On Sundays, I also take my family to the temple or the garden.
So this is how I plan my day and my week.
Did you know how I reached this phase of my life?
I had written down a detailed description of my “perfect day”
And now I’m living it!
80% of what I had written down has become a reality.
And when I made my life simple, my income started to grow.
YOU can do it too!!!

Write down your “perfect day” from the time you wake up and till you sleep
Write down every single detail.
