In #GSHP sesssion , I always coach HR team to welcome the new joinee as a commited human being with new josh and focus on their stregth rather expecting too much from him/her.
Every HR should follow the basic steps for induction.
1. Meeting with HR for induction presentation.
2. Induction docket to be given on joining.
3. Arrange the meeting with the CEO / Directors to deliver the vision and mission of the organization.
4. Arrange for first staff introduction with all. ( Let everybody share their strengths and weaknesses to create a safe space for new joinees)
5. keep Employee Manual accessible to him/her.
6. Follow up after 1 month to understand progress/concern areas.
