In these times of hardship, I would like to call your attention to an important principle called “Integrity” 

I know you may have a few questions in your mind:

“What is integrity?” 

“Why should I be concerned with integrity?”

Before I get into these details, let me explain “What lack of integrity is?”.

Suppose, you are planning to clean your room then, first of all, all garbage should appear to you. Likewise, if you think that I want to live a life of integrity, you must think about what is my integrity as an employee.

We are privileged to have been serving in the IT company. In these times of pandemic, we are lucky that we can work from home and still get paid.( Think about the manufacturing sector and their employees!)

I am glad that, without a second thought on their own interest, IT companies have permitted you to work from home. It will surely prove fruitful to your and your family’s health and more importantly, the country India’s health. So let’s act responsibly.

How can lack of integrity while you work from home affect your work and productivity?

Work from home requires you to act even more ethical, accountable and loyal. 

Symptoms of a lack of integrity in your work and towards your company are:

• You are unable to focus on work properly.
• Your workplace is not as comfortable as an office. 
• You are unable to attend meetings on time.
• Guests or other external factors keep disturbing you. 
• Your family members can distract you.

While working from home, you may jump into a lot of unavoidable situations that can create an impact on you, your work, your clients, the company and the society.

Let’s get the fact straight out

It’s a chain process. Suppose you are aloof a bit. You are lethargic in the comfort of your house and do not complete the work on time. Then it can impact your client’s work, which in turn ultimately impacts the company. If the company remains affected, then it can put you and your job at grave risk!

 So friends, remember this is the situation where we need to think and grow from inside. 

For us integrity means

• Follow ethical practice and make sure the company’s code is not compromised or left unattended. 
• Follow the strong core value that I will not gossip unnecessarily.
• Follow the heart and work hard to cause daily results.

Some tips to stay focused while working from home:

1. Start your day early
2. Plan your work just as you do at the office
3. Stick to your schedule
4. Find a good working space( not your bed)
5. Stay away from social media distractions
6. Analyse the most productive hours in your day( morning? Night?, choose whatever works for you)
7. Sleepy afternoons are inevitable, but try taking a small meal and conduct meeting and follow-ups during this time
8. Breaks are important too ( but be responsible)
9. Commit to yourself
10. Plan Plan and Plan more
