It has been said that people’s greatest enemy is a fear. Fear is behind failure, sickness, and poor human relation. Many e office are afraid of the past, the future, the old age, insanity, and a death. But fear is a thought in your mind and that means that you are afraid of your own thought. One of the most important thing you have to understand about fear is that it has no reality and just thought created by mind.
One of the greatest philosopher and a poet of the 19th century, Ralph Waldo Emerson, said “Do the thing you are afraid to do, and the death of the fear is a certain”. When you affirm positively that you are going to master your fear, and you come to a define decision in your conscious mind, you release the power of the subconscious, which flows in response to the nature of your thought.
Sometime student face issue like, they know everything about certain question, they prepared well, but as soon as the enter into the examination hall they started forgetting everything you prepared. This is normally called fear of failure. When you feel that you are going to fail, your body react in abnormal way, your mind getting full of doubt and you lose control over your feeling. The feeling take incharge of your conscious mind and stop you from giving you the best.
TECHNIQUE FOR OVERCOMING ANY PARTICULAR KIND OF FEAR
There is some technique which help you to overcome your fear. Suppose you are afraid of swimming. Begin now to sit Still 5 or 10 minutes, 3 to 4 time a day. Put yourself into a stage of deep relaxation. Now imaging you are swimming. Subjectively, you are swimming. Mentally you have project yourself into the water and the moment of your arm and legs. It is all real, vivid, and a joyous activity of the mind.
This is not ideal daydreaming. You understand that what you are experience is in your imagination will be developed in your subconscious mind. Then you will be compelled to express the image and likeness of the picture you impressed on your deeper mind. When you next attempt to swim, it is the joy that will surface. This is the law of the subconscious.
You can apply the same technique to other fear. Do affirmation, opposite side of the fear you have. Imagine yourself master of the fear and enjoy into the happiness of the success.
NORMAL AND ABNORMAL FEAR
There are some normal fear everyone has for their survival, like automobile coming down the road towards you and you step aside to survive. This kind of normal fear is good.
All the other fear are abnormal. They were caused by particular experience or were passed along to you by parents, relative, teachers, and other who influenced your early years. Abnormal fear take hold when people let their imagination run riot.
Do affirmation as mentioned above to overcome this kind of abnormal fear.
