The wold works by the exchange. Exchange of information, exchange of thoughts, exchange of money, exchange of work.  And based on this exchange, this human ecosystem works. Everyone is reliant on someone else directly or indirectly. We are directly dependent on our employees & clients & customers and they are dependent on us.

Shree Krishna said that the only action that we should do is Yagna. In recent days, Yagna generally refers to Havan. But it is specifically written in Gita that, Yagna means your duties (કર્તવ્યપાલન).

He who Do or Organise the Yagna is called Yajaman. He Invokes (વિનંતી / આહવાન) to Devtas and offers him a food (ભોગ), exclaiming “Svaaha!”. By doing Havan, we hope that Devtas will give us what we desire (Prasad). That means “Tathastu”. This indicates the exchange.

But this is not the kind of exchange that we do. Yagna is a very different form of exchange. Where first we give and then hope to receive.

So here it’s given and get, not give and take.
