Decoding code FFF- Fear. Failure. Furious

True leaders are not people without any fear. Instead, they know how to face and overcome their fear.

One of the greatest leaders of all time, Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam was quoted once stating that – “Don’t fear facing failure in the first attempt, because even the successful maths starts with a zero”. He is a person who started from nothing, as a paper-boy by himself, and we all know what he attained in his life.

Did he not fear walking on an unfamiliar path?

Was he not afraid to leave his comfort zone to achieve his dreams?

He too feared, failures, losses, and criticism. But he took the risk to try harder and be successful. He was happy to fail because he knew he could still learn from the failures. He knew that ‘In this world, fear has no place. Only strength respects strength.’ And he channelized all his fear and enthusiasm towards his dreams.

Dr Kalam is one of those people who dared to dream high and had the integrity to deliver promises, in any case. Leaders like him can identify their fears as the first step. They do not run away from it, instead, they nurture the courage to face it.

Sometimes, they also fail and fall. But what makes them unique is that, when they fail, they neither give up on their dreams nor lose their righteousness. By preparing their mind, they develop the ability to rise, every time they fall. They believe it’s their action that failed, and not them. And by reviewing the actions, they believe to proceed forward. This is a very important practice you must follow if you aspire to be a leader. To learn from every action and move forward is considered the second step to defeat fear.

Leaders are spirited people who have identified their goals. They also have accurately prepared strategies to achieve these goals. On their path to reach for those bigger targets, they take small and meaningful steps. This helps them in minimizing the risk and also understanding any unexpected challenge. It takes a lot of effort to develop this character, but patience is the primary quality of any good leader.

Another important characteristic of a leader is that they need to be a true player. They must be quick in their decisions and furious in their actions. To move ahead in their games, they strictly adhere to this quick decision-making ability. It is hard work and smart work put together, which will help in reaching the goals. If one person is true to his or her goals, they can practice the code of Fear – Failure – Furious, to achieve them. Believe in your strengths and stay focused on your dreams. You will be rewarded for every action and your hardships.

A true leader must not fear to fall, instead, fear of not progressing.
