Did you know that:
- You can become a good leader just by having the (heart and ear) to listen to your team.
- Only when you listen and listen right, can you become a better and great communicator yourself.
- Listening effectively will only make you a better leader to your team.
- When you listen, the speaker gets a positive and right message that you have given the appropriate consideration to the speaker and this will, in turn, earn you respect as well.
- Being a great listener also portrays you as a problem solver to the speaker, this is because the speaker receives a positive vibe, when you hear out the speaker, and even before you address the issue, the speaker starts feeling better already.
It is too simple a fact that any issue cannot be solved until and unless you completely understand the same.
Because the truth is the answer itself lies in the problem, so once you listen to the problem and understand it clearly, a resolution to that matter would be easy.

- Listen to your team, address their issue and always stick to what you say.
Here the latter is to be given adequate importance, i.e. stick to what you say because a good leader always keeps his word.
This only portrays your leadership ship in a very vibrant and positive way to the concerned person be it your team or your customer.
It also leaves a mark of a great influence on your team. Because they will always remember you as a “Man of honour” when you keep your word.
A recent statistics conducted by a call centre for Mobile network service provider portrayed a stats that showed that 98 percent of the customers were happy when the call center agent kept his word and called back to follow up the issue faced by the customer, and the funniest part was, the customers didn’t even care if the issue was resolved or not, instead they were happy about the fact that the call center agent kept his promise to call back and followed it up.
Now when this is about a mere call center agent, it is only crystal clear on what anyone would expect from a leader itself.
Leadership Fact No 3.
- Work out on your growth plan
A leader always prepares a growth plan not only for him but also for his customers.
This is when you strictly adhere to the promises given to your customers; make sure you keep your word with the same.
This is one crucial part as the customer is expecting a response from you.
- Never make false promises to your customer, or promises that you can’t keep.
Make sure that you keep your promise to the customer. If you aren’t able to do the same for any given reason, do follow up on the case and provide the accurate info so as to why you weren’t able to work it out for the customer.
Leadership Fact No 4.
- Silence is a virtue
At any given point in time, if you ever feel that you are not able to choose the words rightly, instead of just bluffing and trying to cover things up with false promises, keep calm and keep silent.
This will only portray a positive vibe to the customer and make him realise the present scenario.
Leadership Fact No 5.
- Word is God- Listening is the only way to get everything in life
When we hear things out, our brain is wired in such a way to automatically spin solutions to the same, now this can only be achieved if you listen right and along with listening, understand all the aspects of what the customer has to say as well in the best possible way.
